I'm Sorry.....And You Should Be!

    Greetings and salutations, people of the World Wide Webs! This is your mild-mannered correspondent James.....completely un-sponsored, un-biased, un-solicited, and in his un-derwear....bringing you random thoughts on un-related subjects!

    I'll begin this installment of  Howdy Pardner (official traditional and classic country music blog of the Olympics!) with an apology. I just realized my last blog post was February 1.......over 2 WEEKS ago! From this day forward, my pledge to you is fresh, hot, right-out-of-the-oven Howdy Pardners at LEAST every 13 days! It's like the "born on" date on beers....only with less domestic violence and jail time!

    Speaking of jail time, it should be criminal how much talent is assembled every week in Nashville, TN! Not only does Gary Gibson gather some of the finest musicians living (aka The Chicken Chasers)every Sunday night at The Wheel on Broadway.....but the news is that Vince Gill has joined The Time Jumpers for their Monday night shows at The Station Inn! Maybe by spending some time with these masters of Western Swing, Vince can climb out of the drippy pop crossover music he has been making for the last decade and get back into some good ol' country music! Congrats, Vince.....we'll all be praying for ya!

    Anyway, back to the apologies. To make up for the long drought between blog posts, I have added a new video to the "Regulars" area, featuring our good friend Luke Malone from Greenville, TN. Remember to log in and head on over the "Videos for Regulars Only" page to check this out. And, if you're NOT a "Regular".....well, there is still hope! Click on the "Signup Now!" button at the top of this page to open the doors to our GIANT archive of videos featuring live performances from our humble stages at Rudi's Classic Country Cafe. Not only will you see Luke, but legends such as Jack Greene, Leona Williams, Jerry Foster, Jeannie Seely, Johnny Counterfit, and Jan Howard......not to mention our very own Diane Berry, Audie Shields!, Gary Gibson, Russell Workman, and many more! And, you will get email updates every time a new video is added!

    As for new videos, I have EXCITING news! In my recent move, one of the hard drives that I had stored most of the video from the last few years on decided to just up and quit. I thought I had lost all that great video.....until I found a box of DVDs full of those great shows! Apparently, in a rare moment of forward thinking, I had burned all those shows onto discs for safe-keeping! It will take a little work to get those shows up on the site, but those are the sacrifices I must make! So stay tuned for a WHOLE BUNCH of new shows "From The Vaults"!

    Also, as many of you are aware......spring is approaching, and we still haven't found a new spot to reopen Rudi's Cafe. Which means Diane has a lot of free time! If any of you know of any shows, or would like to book Diane, drop us a line at thefolks@HowdyRudi.com. If we don't keep her working, she might just forget how to sing! And then you'd be sorry!
